First off, thanks to everyone who posts regularly on this site. I just started my self-funded search this month and cannot overstate how grateful I am for the valuable content so many of you provide here.

Has anyone tried creating a Facebook or Instagram ads funnel to a personal website to find potential sellers? We’re a veteran family committed to a localized area in Southern Maine to raise our family. I’m curious if a personalized, geographically focused digital marketing campaign has worked for anyone else?

If you do it right, you can be extremely targeted with ads on those platforms. The hard part will be getting the right list. But if you're going to do the work to build the right list, paid social isn't the best channel to use. Email or phone calls would be a lot cheaper and more effective. LinkedIn InMail would be the next thing to try, if you have the budget. Direct mail might even work better even though it is also expensive. Beat Navy.

Thanks Andrew, very helpful. So far I've focused on-market, but plan on testing (https://udu.co), inven (https://www.inven.ai), and grata (https://grata.com), AtoZ, and some others mentioned on this site for off-market outreach to build the right list
