Hey everyone, my name is Alex. I'm in the process of exploring the community and making a hard decision to seriously launch a search fund with a partner. I started my career unconventionally working for a gold exploration company in Sierra Leone, moved a little more standard into KPMG's corporate finance division, spent the next 5 years working in the real estate and corporate private equity arm of a family office and then had a stint doing some entrepreneurial stuff.
The search fund community seems like a place that values honesty and simplicity, which is what appeals most to me about it.
