Where do my friends and family fit in?

I am getting ready to approach investors for my search fund. I have an enthusiastic family member who is helping me out with advice, cheerleading, contacts, and some actual searching as well. He is a successful entrepreneur himself -- created a tech start-up and sold it. But he isn't yet ready to invest financially. I would like to add his bio to my website, but I'm not sure how to refer to him. An associate? Some other noun? Or should I leave him out of it until he is involved in a more substantial way?

If you want to take it to the next level and you have at least one other mentor/advisor, you can create an Advisory Board (the name implies more than one). So he would, along with the others, become an Advisory Board Member.

Anne - I would include him as a member of your advisory team.
