What's the best way to get PPM / Investment Memo feedback?

You've just completed your first PPM / Investment Memo. You've worked off templates from other searchers and what this community has graciously supplied.

But you're still not sure, is it ready for the investor's eyes?
You understand the importance of making a good impression, so the last thing you want to do is send sloppy materials.

What's a searcher to do?

When writing my PPM, I started with asking trusted friends/mentors for feedback first (even if they weren't familiar with search). Then, after getting comfortable with what they provided, I expanded to asking searchers with whom I'd connected if they would provide feedback as well. Ideally those folks have already raised, so they have some idea of what investors are looking for. After that, I'd recommend aggregating a list of investors and reaching out to introduce yourself. At the end of the conversation, you can ask for their feedback on the PPM informally - I would just emphasize that it's a draft/work-in-progress, but you'd love to get their initial thoughts.

I'm circulating my PPM among searchers I worked with as an intern and some friendly investors.
