If you’re interested in technology, you've definitely heard the buzzword of the moment "metaverse".
Facebook changed its name to "Meta" recently to align the company with its ambitions to build the "metaverse."
The idea is the combination of augmented, virtual and mixed reality but it is not yet a reality.
And it could probably be the next evolution of the internet.
What do you think about the technology reform ?

A parent's perspective on the purchase of virtual gaming services/platforms.... I've seen the pull of technology on my children, specifically group play on xbox. There target audience is kids of all ages. The concern is the underlying peer pressure to "meet up in the metaverse" and communicate in a virtual space. Its creepy. there is also the ever presence of predators and bad actors when spaces are "open forums". Minecraft show this capability. Thankfully we discuss openly weird encounters, but i know a number of children don't disclose encounters in the "metaverse" with their parents. Strong Recommendation is to discourage play in this way and inform them of the negatives.

There have been some interesting studies done on the global economic impacts of AR/VR and while ambitious, I sense that people will integrate into the metaverse much more quickly than we anticipate. https://www.analysisgroup.com/globalassets/content/insights/publishing/analysis_group_vr_economic_impact_report.pdf
