There is a large focus on EDIB (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging) and ESG (Environmental & Social Governance) in the corporate world at the moment. Does this overall trend filter down into Search Funds as well?

What do investors think of them? If a business is already quite solid - would there be any point in pressing to implement these strategies?

In my view (which I admit is quite cynical), you should only adopt these strategies if your customers or employees really care about them. I know there have been studies by McKinsey et al. touting the benefits of these strategies but those studies only really look at very large firms, are prone to cream skimming, and have dubious causality (are these initiatives good for business or is it that only good businesses can afford to adopt these initiatives).

Would appreciate other people's thoughts on this!
