Setting up LLC for search

Does anyone have a good guide or link to a post about the right timing for formalizing your LLC? I'm sure it's been discussed before but I can't find it. I'm at the early stages and wondering if it makes sense to create an LLC so that I'm able to account for (and deduct?) business expenses (like a MicroAcquire membership, home office space, etc.).
