Bentley Finance Student Seeking Remote Internship

Hello!

My name is John Wauters and I am a second-year finance student at Bentley University. I am currently looking for a remote internship opportunity at a fund or capital partner. I have some general finance knowledge but certainly looking to expand this by working with a great professional team. I am interested in investment banking as a career in the future, so I'm definitely trying to get as much experience as I can.

Hey John. Bentley, and then Babson, guy. I do not have use for an intern at the moment. If you are interested in owning/operating a small business, then I would recommend locating and asking some small biz owners/operators to work "in" the business over your summer break, or even during time in the school year. Working, and also asking to short of "shadow" them. That way you can see what a small business is like and get some hands on "operating" experience. The i-banking spreadsheet stuff is classwork (not bashing i-banking) and I think you will understand that language and have plenty of experience by the time you leave Bentley. But seeing, learning, and doing - what "operating" is like - is a different story. I think you would get more out of that hands on work experience than jamming out in spreadsheets and modeling.
