Within the next 8-16 months, I aim to acquire a commercial construction subcontractor, leveraging my background and education in this sector.

As I prepare for this endeavor, I'm actively seeking advice, book recommendations, and insights to enhance my skill set and strategic approach. I believe in continuous learning and am eager to explore resources that will help me navigate the complexities of acquisition with confidence and competence.

If you possess valuable expertise in commercial construction, business acquisitions, or strategic planning, I invite you to reach out. Whether through direct messages or connecting on LinkedIn, I'm open to discussions and potential long-term mentorship arrangements.

Investment banks specializing in the construction sector often have good thought material that may give you insights into the industry.

Theodore the key thing here is location. A construction related business in a growing state with a favorable regulatory environment (think TX/TN/NC/GA/FL) can be a fantastic opportunity. If you intend to stay on the west coast then I advise against it.
