I am currently in the process of acquiring a small business through a self-funded search fund route and am seeking an experienced accountant to perform a Quality of Earnings report. Given the nature of self-funded searches, I am looking for a professional who is willing to work with deferred payment terms, allowing the cost of the service to be wrapped up into the deal and paid post-acquisition.

Could anyone recommend accountants who have experience with similar arrangements, or might any accountants in the forum be interested in discussing this opportunity further?
Feel free to email me at redacted Thank you for your help and looking forward to potential collaborations.

One thing you should think about is alignment of incentives. I would not recommend hiring an M&A service provider who gets paid only if/when the deal closes. It creates adverse incentives. Otherwise, take a look at DueDilio and we can connect you with plenty of accountants and QofE service providers. https://www.duedilio.com
