Searcher -> Start-Up Franchisee?

Hi All - We are currently seriously exploring a franchise opportunity that near-perfectly fit our search fund thesis (sans being a turn-key business): b2b mission-critical service, in a fragmented industry.

Wondering if anyone out there knows of other searchers who have decided to go the start-up franchise route over M&A.

Any additional resources, advice would be much appreciated.
