I joined this community shortly after starting my self-funded search. We decided to put deal flow on autopilot and focus on building a business from scratch. Nowadays, most of our deal flow is software startups with teams we believe in and often help build but lack the ability to find angels willing to write $100k checks. Has anyone had experience being helpful in such situations?

Our firm recently partnered with a tech M&A firm that focuses on later stage companies (min $5M revenues). However, they also get a lot of dealflow from Seed-stage companies. In those cases they try and be helpful by referring those deals to their network of Angels/Accelerators that they've met over the years. They do this without taking a fee/referral.

There certainly is a gap in the startup funding world for ‘bridge equity’ companies like that. We’ve passed dirt round and are building our 0.5 platform and will be looking for groups like yours when that’s done.
