Just joined and have embarked on the path of growing my company via acquisition. I have 15+ years of staffing and recruiting agency experience, with the majority spent at the leadership level while also maintaining top sales production. $50M+ of enterprise staffing services sold. I started my own agency a little over 3 years ago and reached 7-figures in revenue by###-###-#### I love business deals of all types and excited about growing my business different ways, including acquisition.

After 15 years of working in an organic growth mindset, this year has forced me to evaluate my thinking and strategy of the staffing industry. I hope, with the fragmentation of our industry, we are able to move into new markets and verticals more successfully than organic growth will allow (given the current B2B selling environment). Would love to hear the thoughts and/feedback on this growth strategy. We are a platform company and have great infrastructure in place to scale quickly. We are a professional staffing company specializing in technical, admin, finance/accounting, and non-clinical healthcare positions. We also provide payroll and direct placement services to many customers, so acquiring these types of companies does fall in my target area. Overall, I hope to be involved with this community for many years as we expand via acquisition, and look forward to the wealth of knowledge possessed by this group!

Hi Jared, I'm an avid proponent of growing through acquisition if you're in a fragmented industry. It's a great way to accelerate growth (doubling accounts/revenue with a single deal) and profitability (eliminating duplicated costs, advantages of economies of scale, etc). Most critical thing to keep in mind though: if culture at the target company(ies) isn't similar to yours, don't do the deal.

Jared- I have a friend that recently sold his healthcare staffing agency in the south Denver area (Castle Rock I believe). I am happy to connect you but I assume you have a good grasp on the staffing landscape in the area. I have worked with number of staffing agencies in my career and don't envy the sales role- I don't answer my phone any more because of you guys :)
