Those were the 3 emotions my new employees felt during the first week of the acquisition.

People are scared when an acquisition happens - what does it mean for them? What will happen to their role? Will the company be ‘restructured’ and cause them to lose their job?


Those were how they felt just a few days later.

Focus on talent when you transition plan. Employees run the business and do the things you can’t. They know the business better than you do in most cases.

Come in with a plan to make them feel heard. Help them understand the reasoning behind why it’s happening and help in any way you can.

By next week, “optimistic” will be even bigger :)
