I've done a search on SFer.com and through google and there are no specifics in loan amounts or eligibility requirements, but it does look like different SBA Lenders may have their own minimums.

Could you please let me know what your minimums are or what you've heard in the market?

Each lender usually has minimum requirements. Loans under $350,000 are typically SBA Express loans, and not every lender will do Express loans. Some have different underwriting requirements for express loans versus standard SBA 7A loans. The standard SBA 7A loans start at $350,000 and can go up to $5 million. Most lenders will do anything from $350,000 to $5 million. Although all lenders must follow the SBA standard operating procedures, most lenders have their own policies as well that are tighter than some of what the SBA will allow. As an example, you can do a $5 million goodwill based transaction, but many lenders will limit their exposure to goodwill to not be higher than say $500,000 to $1.5 million. So if the deal you have has a lot of goodwill you need to get with an SBA lender that will lend on a higher level of goodwill.

Happy to discuss any transactions you are looking at or underwriting criteria for SBA loans at any time. You can reach me at redacted Thank you.
