Materials for early investor meetings

In practice - what materials investors find most useful for initial emails/meetings? 
Single page brochures? Complete slides? Anything else? I’m well versed with the VC space since I had founded a tech startup before but unsure which material is most helpful for investors in the search fund space.

My experience is a deck or single page .pdf exec summary to start. A PPM is a fairly lengthy legal document and is often sent only after an investor expresses interest, if at all. Many investors prefer to do their own due diligence on a potential opportunity rather than rely on a PPM. But is an investor is far removed from the searcher, a PPM is the preferred final document for presenting an investment opportunity.
