Can anyone help with some examples of management resumes that address lender concerns about an ETA entrepreneur acquiring a home services business? I don't have direct experience to point to, so I'm curious what aspects of the experience I do have should be emphasized and if anything should be de-emphasized.

I'm self funding a search for a home services business (ie plumbing). I don't have experience running a home service business.
I've got capital, and military and aerospace experience, and side entrepreneurship like rental properties and consulting. My strengths are in technology and organization. I've done plenty of hands-on work like fixing fighter jets and remodeling my rental properties.

Matt happy to connect again. Live oak bank has a home services vertical and we can connect you to our colleagues. Your background sounds like you can handle diverse situations. Each opportunity will drive the conversation as to your fit. We’d want to know how much new construction vs service and maintenance. How are any required licenses transferring. Who’s doing the work. What’s the role of the seller? Key employees and are they going to stay? How’s the bidding and estimating being handled. The transition planning will be critical.

There is a great podcast called "Think Like an Owner" by ^redacted‌. In one of the past episodes, he interviews the acquirer of a plumbing business in New Jersey. I would highly recommend you listen to that podcast episode, and then cold call that owner. I do not recall his name, however, I tagged the owner of the podcast who can perhaps provide some guidance on who that was.
