Looking to acquire an Accounting and Bookkeeping Company

Hi All,

I am starting my search process and focused on finding and acquiring an accounting and bookkeeping company in Texas (or virtual). I am looking to connect with others who have acquired accounting companies and are open to sharing their experience. 

I am not a CPA. My understanding is that Texas does not require the firm to be licensed if it does not do attestation work and does not include the word CPA in its name. Is my understanding correct?
