Over the holiday I compiled a list of 20 due diligence war stories that capture the low lights of my 10 years working as a searcher. These are 20 times when I could have lost half (50% of) my net worth investing in a business or a deal where the seller or broker was mis-representing the truth.
I want you all to have these stories so that you are not fooled. Brokers and sellers are great at telling stories that make very unreasonable situations seem normal. Don't be fooled.
