Hi all,

I am currently in the early days of setting up a self-funded search fund.

So far we have gotten capital commitments only from our narrow network of former collegues, FFF etc. so we did not need any proper presentations & PPM. Our conditions are rather simple but it would be really interesting to benchmark with other self-funded searchers on this.

Now that we have approached some investors they specifically asked for a PPM.
Again, we have set-up a PPM going through our backgrounds, strategy, conditions etc., but it would be great to see some examples of other successful self-funded searchers on this.

I appreciate every support on this.

Thanks,
Yassin

Agreed, since if self-funded you'd only need documentation for the actual deal you present and are aiming to close. Or are you thinking of the marketing materials just to keep potential transaction investors in the loop around what you're doing?

I'm really curious how people in the self-funded context have managed to keep potential investor leads warm as well - what feels like the right level of communication, etc.?
