Introduction from a potential future searcher.

Really happy to have joined this group. Lots of good information and a helpful atmosphere. That's pretty cool. I am a looking to get educated for a possible future search. I am fully engaged running a business now, with a potential exit within 12 months. Not sure if I stay or go afterwards, hence getting prepared. My background is pretty varied, but have focused on manufacturing for the past 15 years or so. My whole career has been working with PE firms running businesses, but if I decide to go "on my own" I would likely self fund an acquisition. My targets would be old school businesses, including mfg, home service businesses, etc. I have a solid background in building products and medical devices (Class 1).

Assume I am not alone in working a full time job while considering a future search. Welcome feedback from others who have tried to build up their skill sets while still fully committed elsewhere.
