Hi, I'm a self funded searcher. Had an exit late last year where I was an operator and a minority share holder in a manufacturing business. Now I'm looking to do something on my own and have been on the hunt for a business in the midwest.

I've been on the hunt for about 6-7 months now. Have launched a proprietary search that's yielded no fruit and have had better success reaching out to local brokers for deal flow. Its been tough though valuing the companies and finding something that will meet SBA 7a lending criteria. I've decided to get tight on the numbers and look at larger deals (5M EV or higher) that will cover my expenses and meet SBA DCR requirements while having some money left over for funding CAPEx and improvements.
