I´m a software developer so I´m considering creating a custom-made solution for this stage.

I´ve been looking for some "out-of-the-shelf" solutions, but can't find one that fits our need. I´m looking for something that helps organize the whole oportunity process while helping keep useful data about searched industries and companies.

What have you used or what would you recommend?

I use Copper because of its native Gmail integration. Depending on your approach, I would suggest that you probably don't need a full blown CRM in most cases. Looking back, having just drip marketing would probably be sufficient. Alternatively, like mentioned above, you could use Hubspot (free) and then have the drip marketing software (i use reply.io but others have used snov). Let me know if you have any questions - I spent way too much time researching this piece of the search and wasn't worth all that time frankly.

I would create a selection funnel. First, you search for all CRM systems in the market, than you eliminate by hard facts (like price, system support, functionalities) to get a short-list of 2-4 CRM systems. Than you test these based on standardized sample processes.
