Hello All,
A good friend of mine is working on the blockchain to create tokens for businesses that want to raise money.
The general idea is that you create tokens (analogous to shares) that represent ownership in your business.
Your business then sells these tokens on a decentralised exchange like uniswap, and the money from the sale is money you have now raised by selling equity within your business.
The above is a high-level helicopter view of things, if you would like to know more, or you would like to raise money by selling your business equity via tokens, feel free to ping me and I can get you in touch with people who can make it happen.

This is a very interesting space. The platform we have developed allows users to create digital securities or tokens which represent investment units (equity, debt, warrants, etc), automates investor onboarding (KYC, AML), Delivery versus Payment (DvP), eSignatures, centralized deal rooms and investor relations.
Essentially, we are focused on digitizing and streamlining the entire investment lifecycle with integrated Blockchain technology. We are currently in Beta with a handful of users across North America.
Regulators, like the SEC, have been keeping a close eye on this space because of the events that transpired during the ICO (Initial Coin Offering) boom a few years ago. Anybody raising capital must be cognizant of the legal implications based on securities law. That is why raising money using UniSwap might be tricky. Perhaps some lawyers from the community could shed light on this.
Hope this is helpful. Happy to share additional insight with the community or discuss specifics about the platform if anyone is interested in learning more.
