Has anyone raised a first time PE fund?

Looking to raise a small fund of committed capital. Realize how exceptionally difficult this is especially for "first timers" without a track record. I have an inroad into a large university endowment fund that could form the entry point as the anchor investor to let me raise additional capital. Several if my former classmates are also seasoned PE fund managers who likely would agree to join my Advisory Board. Nothing in this world is impossible. It can be done. Has anyone here raised a first time fund? If so please like or comment and I will reach out to you privately.
