Does anyone have a template for a non-binding investor "intended" capital?

One of the challenges for self-funded searchers appears to be showing you have equity backing you when discussing with sellers and brokers. I've heard that proof of equity capital can be shown though a non-binding agreement (that showcases who the investor is and how much they are willing to invest given the right deal). Does anyone have an example of such a template?

I've only ever seen LOIs in that regard, and those tend to be pretty free-form and specific to the intent.
Are you thinking of something like a "fill-in-the-blanks" LOI...?

You can just ask the investor for a proof of funds statement from their RIA or whoever manages their capital. Tell the investor you need it to get into deals.
