How has this pandemic changed your definition of a recession-proof business? What do you now consider "essential" services that you didn't before?
Before this my definition was simply must-have industries: life-preserving healthcare, non-luxury consumption (basic food), utilities, national defense etc. My list also included certain parts of transportation and residential real-estate because they were seen as essential. I did not have online content or anything IT-related on my list of essential consumption during a recession. I now think some IT belongs there, among other things.
How is your list changing?
