I am looking for a database of brokers in the US, which you can filter by geography (e.g., state), industry, etc. Looking at IBBA's website, there's the limited search functionalities, a lot of manual work (copy-paste required). 

I assume some folks have done this before. I don't wanna recreate the wheel. Would love to get your input. Many thanks!!

Scrape the various member directories of the Broker associations in whatever region you are targeting. I did it for CA and it was very easy.

I went on upwork to get a NC broker list compiled.. Didn't cost much and it was a quick turnaround.

Gil, we are in works to add the most comprehensive broker list to interexo.com. It should be up soon. I'll announce once it's done. There you should be able to locate brokers based on location and specialty. it will be available for free.
