Best Way to Source Equity?

As a self funded searcher, with a deal just under contract, I have not found the right Equity required of @$500k for an acquisition.
EBITDA is north of $1M but under $2M.
I don't think it is the deal itself or the structure.

Debt is pre approved already.

I know that most have specific criteria regarding margins, industry, multiple etc.

Any suggestions on how to find the best fit for a particular deal?

Or what has worked for other searchers in the past?

I have tried the directory here but the search function does not really allow for a very granular search.

Typically, if it is a good deal, then you should not have too much of an issue raising equity. If people are hesitant to invest I would maybe take another look at the deal itself.

I don't understand. You are approved for the debt but don't have the down payment? And you've tied up the seller?
