I have been a searcher for the past year and in that time have had dealings with dozens if not hundreds of business brokers and without a doubt the worst experiences I have had have been with Benchmark International. Their unprofessionalism, arrogance and unresponsiveness is something to behold. I have spoken with five different brokers and my experience with them was poor to be polite. I am wondering whether anyone has had similar experiences?

I think the big thing here is that they are offering a slightly different business broker service compared to a standard broker. Their 'process' is distinct and different - I actually like it. You may need to adjust your expectations. Their process allows for more direct and faster access to sellers for 1-on-1 calls which I find valuable and time-saving. This comes at the cost of the deals typically not being as deeply vetted and seller motivation is sometimes not there. Good luck.

It really depends on the broker leading the deal, in the deals I've worked on previously with them their sellers are not the most commited to the process and see it as more of a fishing expedition. Some great deals can be had there, but they go quickly.
