Any traditional searchers who moved during the search phase?

Do any current or former searchers have experience moving during the search phase to lower costs of living?

I'm a traditional searcher considering moving from a high cost of living area (Boston) to a lower one somewhere in the southeast, where I plan on living close to a major airport. My current rent is $700/month higher than what I could expect to pay in the cheaper state. I'm only on month 2 of the search, so my savings in rent alone would offset the move in a few months.
The flipside is the hassle of moving, changing addresses, etc. And potentially doing it again once I acquire.

Any thoughts?
