Any experience utilizing a growth study or ops consultants for diligence?

I am working on an opportunity in a niche industry where the TAM and growth levers aren't as clear. Private equity uses consultant reports that dig into industries and create reports that uncover growth opportunities. Are there service providers that work on something like this for smaller deals? Understand it would be a scaled back version - maybe just an ops guy walking through a facility and giving their take on potential improvements or low hanging fruit.

If there are any providers I should speak to, let me know!

Can you elaborate a bit on the industry and size of business? Outside of the search I'm doing, I run an advisory co. We take on selective clients looking for guidance on TAM and where and how to prioritize growth, expansion, and innovation opportunities in the business and market. This is particularly helpful in situations where a business and its products/ services don't bucket cleanly into an existing market covered by reports like those covered by IBIS.
