Access to industry reports other than IBISWorld

I am looking at a deal in a niche not covered by an IBISWorld report.

Knowledge Based Value Research recently published a report on this exact industry in January, and the report is for sale through all the normal marketplaces - researchandmarkets.com, reportlinker.com, marketresearch.com.

The problem is that it costs >$3,000 which is hard to justify for a small self-funded deal which is still pre-LOI.

Does anyone have tips, tricks or hacks on how to get access to these reports without paying near the full price quoted?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes asking for a discount can work. From my experience, those prices tend to be flexible. You can also ask for only a portion of the report and have it tailored to what you really need

Do you know anyone at an investment bank that might have access to initiating coverage reports, capital IQ, and or other industry reports? Those avenues have always worked for me in the past
