Since I posted about solo searchers and the difference a real team or platform can make, we’ve had over 20 people reach out.
Some are serious, a few are already pushing hard, but most have shown us exactly why they're stuck. If you want to be taken seriously as a buyer, you have to think like a founder.
That means doing your homework before reaching out. Look up the team, read their site, bios, thesis and pull their LinkedIn profiles.
Show that you actually want to be in the room by doing basic DD.
If you're going to DM someone to ask for access, resources, or support and you haven’t spent 90 seconds finding out who they are or what they've built, then that tells them everything they need to know.
I don't want this to come off a being rude, but moreso to point out that the point is all about protecting time, energy, and brand.
Founders show up ready for war; helmet on, rifle loaded, and ready to go.
Appreciate everyone in this group. 🙂
