Why did you end up on Searchfunder? If we're going to be honest, most will be in it to farm deals, or find support?
If I use Linkedin as an example, my inbox is full of people trying to sell me shit. What no single person has done has tried to create a connection of any kind?
It makes me think, how would the platform change if we used genuine connection? What would it look like if you connected without trying to sell, but to serve? It's a crazy idea,

I've built the 14 businesses I have purchased on the mantra/mission statement that is the DNA of every one of my team to "help people and the rewards will happen by default'" and they sure have.
There are some terrific aspects to this platform; however, the downside is there are way too many individuals with no operational experience, no committed capital, and zero experience buying businesses who are seeking out, receiving, and dispensing advice to a whole group of individuals with no operational experience, no committed capital, and zero experience buying businesses. This will never lead to a good outcome.
High level college degrees are great, but they offer very little help in the business-buying journey. As you have pointed out well, your 20 + years of experience has value...that I guarantee.
My advice to every searcher on this platform - get advice from Believable Parties - people who have been there, done that and have achieved massive success buying businesses. If not, the information you are giving and receiving is simply uneducated opinions with zero credibility or value.
