Who has done software/digital product carveouts?

We see a lot of proprietary software carveouts, and I want to see who has either done them or has financed these type of companies before. 

I'm not interested in people not experienced with the nuances of these type of scenarios. (if you know you know)

And, if you invest in these type of transactions, what do you typically look for? (Size, teams, profitability, etc)
