As a former exec in Saas, on the sales and revenue side, it can be a great play. What we sales guys tend to overlook, however, is the "in the weeds" technical components of SaaS, mainly technical debt the company carries. I would highly recommend getting an extremely in depth review of their data structure to ensure you're not left carrying the bag of hiring engineers to undue years of poor data structure practices.
