First-time poster. Just joined the community.

Where can first-time searchers turn to receive feedback on their PPM from experienced professionals?

I'm a first-time searcher, post-MBA experienced professional, highly motivated aspiring entreprenuer ... and just trying to figure this search fund model out. I drafted a PPM and am hungry for feedback from experienced searchers and capital groups. Reaching out directly has proved less effective. Hoping this community is more responsive.

Hi Matt. While you will get a lot of "advice" on what to put and include and "no no's" in PPMs, the main thing I've learned when talking to funds and seasoned investors and directors of SF acquisitions, are the DNA needed of the searcher him/herself: 1) resiliency 2) open-mindedness and listening to the appointed directors and advisors 3) motivational leader 4) willing learner (from the current owner and business team 5) amicable communicator (connect at non-numerical levels with the prospects to be able to get through the acquisition and post transaction). I would really hone these traits and keep each one in mind when working on each section of your PPM (like a MANTRA!) and you'll be good to go! Good luck...

Terrific advice Sachiv. Words to follow certainly. Once the PPM is created, have you found the investment community prefers the information to be displayed in a visually pleasing presentation, heavily documented proposal or somewhere in-between? I have found examples of both online and even come across paid services that convert PPM proposals into "pretty" powerpoint presentations?
