What’s Working for You Beyond Grata for Finding Companies?
We use a mix of databases and directories for outbound sourcing, with Grata being one of our main tools. Having revenue estimates and other company details in one place helps us narrow down the list, though we’ve found that some information can be dated and needs checking. We also use the BBB directory to find businesses. It gives us another place to look, but there’s usually more work involved in figuring out whether a company fits what we’re searching for. A website can tell us what a business does and where it operates. Getting a sense of its size is harder. A basic website doesn’t necessarily mean a small business, and a polished one doesn’t tell us much about its financials. That’s the gap we’re trying to close: finding companies we might otherwise miss, while having enough reliable information to decide which ones to contact. What other databases, directories or tools are you using to build your outbound lists? Would be helpful to hear what’s worked for you, particularly in specific industries, and which information you still find yourself checking manually.
