The biggest mistake I see people make is outsourcing DD tasks that they should be doing themselves. DD is your opportunity to really understand how a business creates value. Don't waste it.

It may sound obvious, but you really need to understand how sticky the customers are. A change of control seems to be an excuse for customers to explore the competition.
