1) Prioritise getting a full 8 hours of sleep. I get more done in 3-4 hours when I'm awake, than in a full day when running on 6 hours of sleep 2) Timeboxing. When I start getting tired and easily distracted, I'll set a timer for 30 minutes or 45 minutes, and work solidly with no distractions in this time 3) Have an end in sight. "Once I finish the following 4 tasks, I'm done for the day". If there is no end in sight, I'm more likely to just procrastinate, as the work never ends so why not check instagram now...

Morning for deep work. Pre-work listen to business news and podcasts while walking my dogs. Calls for after mornings which if un-managed tend to overwhelm my day. 24hr response time on important stuff. Tag less urgent stuff for future follow up. Time block for important tasks (ie review contracts, draft important memos, emails, conduct analysis etc). Take the dogs for a walk mid-day to clear my mind. Stop working at a reasonable hour....go for beers for 'business networking".
