What to say to the gatekeeper?

Does anyone have any thoughts on what to say to the front desk/secretary if they start pressing you on exactly what kind of joint venture you'd like to do?
Any ideas on what to stay to get passed the gatekeeper would be great.

Can you elaborate on joint venture? Do you mean approaching the business for sale as a searcher or some other type of collaboration? You can edit the original post by clicking the dropdown on the top right and hitting edit if you don't want to comment as that would reveal who you are.
