What could be the impact of the raise of SPACs on SF opps?

Dear community,

As I see, most of SPACs are looking for a minimum of 100m companies. Anyway, do you consider this new SPAC wave could negatively affect SF? or benefit the SF model making it more visible by adjacency to the SPAC concept?

I've been asked "are you basically a spac" a few times. I made it a point to draw a line in helping the prospective seller understand how spacs generally engage a transaction vs. a search funder. I think it actually helped the person feel more comfortable with what I am offering as a search funder.

Unless/until the aggregator trend and the spac trend merge, I don't think so. SPACs are looking for $40-100mn in revenue as their low bound.
