I have taught this subject many, many times. Also, have an unpublished book on the topic. Will be teaching a workshop at IBBA in May in Denver. Few comments:
1) There are different definitions of WC.
2) Two businesses, even if making the same product and having same sales, could have materially different WC.

Oh god, the trickiest question in every deal. Great topic, but I feel there is no exact science for it... (see the same in the comments as well)
