I'm wondering what is the average gearing for an acquisition through a Search Fund - in Europe. I understand it can vary depending on potential seller notes, etc., but I want to have an idea about the % equity requested from investors - on average.

I don't know on average. However, as I developed a business case on possible acquisitions in Italy, returning 30% IRR with a Debt < 50% is very hard. Maybe the IESE international search fund study can help.
