I am an M&A Advisor, not a Searcher. 1. I use Apollo, Rocket Reach and Been Verified. The quality of their content has improved materially due to AI. In otherwards, I leverage them. 2. I use many AI engines for research on a firm, industry, individuals, competition, etc.

We have used AI for our search in the following areas with varying level of success: 1. Analyze a company (from its website and other sources - including public financial reporting) - this has been a good starting point for us to delve deeper 2. Industry analysis - This has usually turned out quite good (especially when applying Deep Research) 3. Competitor analysis - This is probably one of the weaker areas subject to available information and the quality of information from open sources. 4. Financial assessments - This is another weak area. You can find good directional output, but really depends on accessible information, which is always a challenge with SMBs. Although there are several AI tools available to run several aspects of the search process itself, but the core AI engines have been good enough for the above tasks, without paying extra for specialized tools. I'm sure this space will evolve.
