Seems to me that the biz/buy/sell websites cater to businesses under $1M in EBITDA, are there better resources to search for $1-5M in EBITDA. I'm specifically focused on a regional search. So, sites that have that filter critera would be especially helpful.

The more 'up market' you go, the more these sales processes will become auction processes that firms get an invite to via a 1=page teaser rather than scrolling through a listing of opportunities on a website. In my experience, this is the norm for opportunities with greater than $2MM in EBITDA or so. If you are running a regional search, I would suggest finding out which Corporate Finance shops and M&A Advisors are active in your area and start with sending a 1-page overview of your fund to them for deal flow greater than ~$2MM in EBITDA.

I love free things so that's what I look for.

Just went to my local Small Business Development Center yesterday, and they recommended that I go to my local library for a free membership to data-axle. They have compiled information on business owners' revenue based on IRS tax filings so I can filter based on NAICS and revenue's estimate.
