We are thinking of doing an angel round to increase our AI marketing agency.

We are in a strange place. We closed down the traditional marketing agency due to seeing the writing on the wall. We created two products that AI has automated for Marketing. We are in beta and already 10k+ MRR and will be launching soon. We are wondering if we should just raise money or just continue down this path till we profit enough to start buying other agencies? Open to suggestions. Our wheelhouse is local services as we go after 3-5k month budgets and come in at $###-###-#### per month with a inferior product result.

Thanks for the tag ^redacted‌ James - I have no experience in raising money (apart from friends and family for my marketing agency acquisition) - so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. I'm curious what you feel like you need the money for? I feel like these AI products you can grow really fast through grass roots efforts - unless you want to go the lovable/replit route. I'd love to chat with you about what you are building though - maybe this is something we could use at my agency as well.

What's the velocity of new clients? If it's 2+/mo, I'd avoid raising capital. Your margins are going to be good, so by the time you raise the funds, you probably could have grown to cover costs (or at least that's been my experience). Also, why buy outdated agencies unless you have a way to keep the customers and reduce your labor costs. Glad to talk specifics, if you are interested. I run an agency in the medical device space.
