VP of Acquisitions:
Job Description: VP of Acquisitions (Long-Term Private Equity Platform)
Title:
VP of Acquisitions / Deal Principal (Remote or Hybrid – U.S. or LATAM)
About Us:
We are a sponsor platform scaling rapidly. Our investment focus is on durable, cash-flowing businesses in the U.S. lower middle market. We take a long-term approach to ownership — prioritizing resilience, culture, and real operational value creation.
As we scale, we're building an elite, high-trust team that shares our vision of permanent equity-style investing. You will be joining at an inflection point, with autonomy, responsibility, and upside.
What You’ll Do
You will be the deal quarterback — leading transactions from sourcing to close, and ensuring they are aligned with our long-term investment thesis. Your responsibilities include:
• Manage deal flow and pipeline from brokered, proprietary, and inbound sources
• Lead CIM reviews, seller calls, and initial diligence
• Build and refine financial models (LBOs, debt sizing, return sensitivity)
• Draft investment committee memos and present recommendations
• Coordinate due diligence with legal, tax, QoE, lenders, and internal resources
• Negotiate LOIs, SPAs, and other key documents with sellers and advisors
• Prepare deal updates for capital partners and internal IC
• Develop and refine internal processes for evaluating and closing transactions
What We’re Looking For
Core Competencies
• 4–8 years of experience in one or more of:
o Holding companies corp dev
o Long-duration investment platforms
o Private equity (especially LMM -focused)
o Investment banking (with M&A exposure)
o Search funds or solo sponsor experience
• Strong financial modeling skills and deal judgment
• Familiarity with deal structuring, equity waterfalls, and debt instruments
• Excellent communication skills (verbal + written)
• Experience working with brokers, sellers, and lenders
Behavioral Traits
• Owner mindset — you treat capital like it’s your own
• Strategic thinker — you focus on value creation, not just closing deals
• High follow-through — low maintenance, high output
• Comfortable with ambiguity — works well in lean teams and evolving environments
• Detail-oriented — you get the small things right and run a clean process
• Low ego, high initiative — you seek the win, not the credit
What You Get
• Competitive base salary
• Performance bonuses per closed deal
• Optional long-term incentive
• Autonomy to build, own, and optimize the deal process
• Long-term career track in a platform built for growth, not exits
• Daily interaction with a founder & partners focused on strategy and capital
Location:
Remote-first. Strong preference for US & LATAM-based candidates with U.S. deal experience, but open to the right person globally.
