Are Veterans better Searchers? Do they have a higher probability for closing and achieving successful exits?

See survey below for traditional and self-funded Veteran Searchers.

I've known many veteran searchers.Anecdotally, I've seen 50/50 among veteran searchers closing a deal/failing to close.Once they're an operator, it's more on par with everyone else.

When I was raising my search, I'd ask investors the biggest pros and and cons about veteran searchers. The common themes among investors were:

Biggest Pros: Small team leadership, operations, mission setting and alignment, and not sweating the small stuff (e.g., calling an investor and asking what to do when Timmy is perennially late to work).

Biggest Cons: Struggling to shift to and adapt a commercial mindset. With a laser focus on leadership, team building, and fine-tuning operations, veterans seem more likely to overlook making money and growing an enterprise.

It'll be neat to see what your survey produces.Good luck!
